1. Nature of Services
Carla Marie provides Specialised Kinesiology and complementary wellbeing services designed to support self-awareness, emotional wellbeing, energetic balance, and personal development. Specialised Kinesiology is a complementary therapy and is not a substitute for medical, psychological, psychiatric, or other licensed healthcare services. Carla Marie does not diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent medical or mental health conditions. No guarantees are made regarding outcomes, and results vary between individuals.
2. Client Responsibility
By booking a session, you acknowledge that:
You are voluntarily participating.
You accept full responsibility for your physical, emotional, and mental wellbeing.
You understand sessions may involve: emotional release, nervous system responses, discussion of personal experiences, energetic techniques and shifts, physical sensations and physical touch (such as muscle monitoring - with consent)
You remain responsible for seeking medical or psychological care where appropriate.
If you are currently under the care of a GP, psychologist, psychiatrist, or specialist, you remain responsible for any advice or clearance you consider necessary.
You will disclose relevant health conditions, diagnoses, medications, injuries, or vulnerabilities that may impact your participation (e.g. pregnant, recently postpartum or experiencing acute mental health distress.)
You may pause or stop the session at any time.
You confirm you are over 18 years of age (or have guardian consent where applicable), have read this information, and consent to participate.
You understand no specific outcomes or results can be guaranteed.
3. Not Medical Advice
Information shared during sessions, on this website, or through any related materials is for educational and wellbeing purposes only. Nothing provided constitutes:
medical advice
psychological therapy
counselling
diagnosis
treatment recommendations
You should consult your GP or relevant healthcare provider regarding any medical concerns.
4. Booking & Payment
Full payment is required at the time of booking unless otherwise agreed. Bookings are confirmed only once payment is received. Carla Marie uses third-party booking and payment systems (including Acuity Scheduling and Stripe) to manage appointments and payments.
5. Cancellation & Rescheduling Policy
A minimum of 48 hours’ notice is required to reschedule or cancel. Changes within 48 hours and missed appointments may be charged in full. No refunds are provided for change of mind, except where required under Australian Consumer Law. In exceptional circumstances, Carla Marie may offer discretion at Carla Marie’s sole judgment.
6. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law:
participation is at your own risk;
Carla Marie is not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, or special damages arising from participation;
liability, where it cannot legally be excluded, is limited to re-supplying the relevant service.
Nothing in these Terms excludes your rights under Australian Consumer Law.
7. Privacy
By booking with Carla Marie, you consent to the collection and secure storage of personal information relevant to your care, including health-related information you choose to disclose.
Your information may be used to:
administer bookings
communicate with you
maintain client notes
support continuity of care
Your information will be kept confidential unless:
required by law;
there is serious risk of harm to yourself or others;
you provide express consent for disclosure.
Carla Marie uses secure third-party systems including Acuity Scheduling and related practice management tools, which may store data on secure external servers.
8. Intellectual Property
All website content, resources, written materials, and session frameworks remain the intellectual property of Carla Marie and may not be reproduced without written permission.
9. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia.
